ABOUT ME

Born and bred in Narrm Melbourne, I live on Kulin Country close to the Maribyrnong River in Footscray. I have been registered as Marriage Celebrant since 2011.

Like many celebrants, doing ceremonies is one of a few of things that I do. Over the past few years I have been working as a professional historian as part of the wonderful team from the history consultancy, Way Back When, as well as being on staff at the legendary Sun Bookshop in Yarraville. These varying strings to my bow all merge around the importance of good storytelling and how the connections we make with each other really matter.

Over the years I have travelled extensively including a couple of extended stays in Brazil, so for couples who for any reason may want some Portuguese included as part of their ceremony, I may be your person. At a pinch I could probably pull-off some Spanish and even some French pronunciation too, if that was of any use!

Apart from my celebrant training, (Certificate IV in Celebrancy from VU), I have qualifications in history, media studies, sound production and cultural heritage. I am a member of The International College of Celebrancy, Professional Historians Association (Vic & Tas) and Oral History Victoria.

My pronouns are she/her.
